Ok I've searched around for people to code my game for me and I found a couple who are interested but can't help. So I guess I shall have to make it myself, but I will need alot of help so please be generouse. I have a game desighn document and 1 screen shot of what the game will look like, please download and look at them to get an idea of what i'm doing here.

Now u have seen that, basically it is an internet multiplayer so I need to know where I should start, should I start with coding of the animations and movements or do i need to start with the multiplayer part first?
Now u know why I was trying to find someone else to do the coding for me. Im really starting at the beggining here. I'm really keen to do this myself now but I need help all the way as i've had little evperience at this, I only have some insight. I hope this will be a long thread full of help and replies for everyone as I have many question I would like to ask. By the way I'm using DBCEnhanced.

I read the document, your game sounds great!
I would start by looking for some multiplayer code in the code base.
Are you going to sell the game or give it away free?

I was thinking of making it a free game just to see how popular it could be, then ill make a sequel or something and sell that.
thnks 4 the tip.

I've just had a look through the code snippets forum for multiplayer online stuff but could't find anything usefull. If anyone can give me any code ideas for this it would b greatly usefull.

ahh yes but i need something where u dont need an ip address i think, I need it so people run the game then they check for a list of servers (people online making battle challenges) then u just click on the server (person u want to fight) and join, and then it joins and it load and u fight. I want like a pre game (lobby) chat and an in game chat (when fighting). Dunno if that can be done without a middle computer or if u can just do it with the client computers.

If you are somewhat new to Dark Basic, your not going to be able to pull of a mutiplayer online game. I'm sure you have heard this thousands of times, but you need to start small. Make little programs and learn things from them. Once you have learned a good amount, throw it into a small game. Continue to do this and you can eventually make a large mmorpg or something. You gotta start small.

Whats the fun of having all these awesome ideas ( I read through the doc and liked it ) if you aren't going to code it. If you are patient and work hard at coding you will eventually be able to make this game. Just giving it to other people to code it for you is only going to earn you a line saying "Produced By So & So". You should hold onto this idea for when you are better and then give it a shot when you are ready.

ok thnks for the advice BL, I'll have a think about that, of course I'm kinda impatient about this, I would rather jump straight into making this game from scratch rather than make numerouse small projects that im not going to be happy with like one that I made (with alot of help) earlier. I learnt a bit but the game fell apart and didnt go anywhere coz I hadn't thought about it properly first. In the time that it took me to get through making and finishing a few small games I could be half way through finishing the game i'd rather be making (which is a game I wanna play). U see my point.
So no, I dont want to wait till I'm better, i'd rather get it coded as soon as possible what ever way I can.
