make a primitive shape, spheres and cubes are pretty common, and give it the texture of your sky. im not a modler, so im not that sure if its correct.

Make a huge box that surrounds your world. Then, texture it. I think there's a way to set your object to be inverted.

make it a negative size ie...

If you've got a matrix, pull up the edges and use spheres or cylinders. You can even use two spheres (one transparent layer & one solid layer). This, of course, will probably burn up your frame rate.

Otherwise, if you have a building or something, it's much more efficient to use a plain or two.

Some skyboxes come with an object that has specified sky textures, like the ones in Dark Matter. I like to use sky spheres insted of sky boxes though.
