I'm making a game(puzzle) I made a routine to get rid of the pieces when you press "d". The code worked well for a while, but now when I press "d" the game and the darkbasic editor quit and, give me an illegal operation.

Here's the piece of code that suppose to get rid of the pieces.

I reinstalled darkbasic and the DX(DirectX 9.0c).

That's the most funk-matic error I've ever seen. What does the variable "i" do? I only see it once, and it's just being set to 0.

Make sure you have the most updated programs ever.

well that will only ever get rid of one sprite. and if that sprite doesn't exist then ...kaboom...

try:

        if (sprite exist(l)==1) then delete sprite l

hopefully sprite exist is a command - ain't got me manual on me.

DDHELP is something to do with DirectDraw (some kind of helper utility) and making sure your DirectX is current, etc., is a good idea.

Secondly, DBC does sometimes crash if your code does something wrong...

2005 - Year of cartoony red cubes (look! black outline!), for me at least.
