thats a silly statement before jeku, macosx is a unix environment and Im more then an artist as you love to pigeon hole things.
mac has a stable commercial reason in the media sectors because it works better then a pc for what tool its purpose is.
Its ""bleeding obvious"" whats the more "advanced architecture" no matter how many wanna be pc troll heads may try to proclaim.
I work in print multimeda video web dvd television 3d and special effects now mainly in the macintosh environment.
I also work with extensive code in most of those environments from scripting to oop languages.
I still have pcs around but its mainly for games and some compatability with programs but im phasing them out.
I can still use a pentiumIII 933 to acheive the results i need and the grunt on the mac side of things for the higher end content.
what makes me laugh is, the comments made here have no merit or insight into both operating systems. the only experiences you have with macs is probably ten years ago, granted there are a few around who use both like me and prefer to use other systems like SGI or MAC.
none of you here i can bet have ever seen irix in full motion on a infinite reality system. ignorance is bliss.
the pc is the bottom of the heap when it comes to architecture and you so vehemently proclaim its the best, LMAO.
its like saying your volkswagen is better then a porsche but your forgetting half the car market.
silly little people with narrow minds who dont want to explore the whole plethora of computer systems deserve an attitude of anguish over other systems.
If you had a brain or the experience with other systems you might have a different outlook to the whole Computer experience instead of one blind corner with half an eye cocked.
now granted my new macintosh eats any current pc on the marketplace hands down in so many factors, in regards to speed at the current moment means very little to me. I use it as a tool and thats what its for, to produce high end video and multimedia for commercial entities.
it would be a shame if your whole computer day was 80% whinging & gaming and 20% productivity, your only waisting your own time.
