How many parts to a game are there? What I wanna know is... what is everything I need to make a game IDE, Graphics program, etc. aside
what are the main parts to a game program that make it work? Engine, renderer, stuff like that, So I can better understand what I
need to program?

Tryin hard...

If you really want to get into programming youll need:
1)a plant life makera(and trees)
2)model maker
3)obviously a programming program (DBPro)
4)Sound Mixer
5)Digital Camera OR a texture maker to make/get textures
6)Level/World Builder(Cartography Shop 4)
7)Terrain Editor(Geoscape)
This is only if you're going to really get into gaming, and making quality games. All you really need if you just wanna mess around is:
1)Digital Camera
2)Programming program(DBPro)
3)World Builder

Video games…they can take you places unreachable, impossible, unfeasible. They put you in the book...they put you in the movie...they put you in a world, a world that before could only be imagined.

Layout? It'll be mixed up in code, but health bars, hud images around the edges of the screen aswell as any player names or health damage that will appear above a characters head (I'm thinking more of RPGs I think. But this is like saying 'What do I want the player to actually SEE on screen? What menus will be seen above other menus etc.

To start off you need good organization, otherwise you can't get anywhere.

Yes organization is the key to a successfull game... it really helps...and also make you engine flexible for many things and program statements / W/e you call them to work in many cases not just for one reason....becuase it saves alot of time

Making better games everday!

So you should start writing in 1s and 0s, so start quickly.

Their have been many times I have had to rewrite an entire program due to poor organization.
