good logo design graphically and textually portrays the subject matter in a style chosen that best compliments the subjects mission or agenda.
eg: perhaps this is good design or not.
design is speculative and subjective and covers many variations,
peoples idea of design transcend these variations but mostly
symbolise whats important to them with photo/text/graphic and usually all three combined but not always.
keep working on your ideas but expand away now from fractals unless you can make work with the subject matter.
Always make sure the subjects name is very legible.
Make some text and using selection replace the text with a picture
so it looks cut as a pattern over the text letters perhaps.
