Hello, I recently set up my CVP109 to work with Sibelius on my laptop and this is what came of it: http://fire.prohosting.com/bearcdp/song.mp3. As usual you'll have to click the link to see a Prohosting page, from which you are given a link to the file.

It's pretty crummy quality, I had to use my mic that came with my old Gateway to record it, haven't had the chance to run out to Radio Shack get line out of the clavinova.

The next part of this here post is a question about web hosting. I have some space, and Cpanel, but no subdomain, I still need to register a domain name. Is it possible without a domain or subdomain to set up web pages or host files to acces with HTTP?

My directory's set up like this(code boxes show contents of directories:
.htpasswds

.trash

mail

public_ftp

public_html

tmp

www

.contactemail
.cpanel-ducache
.lastlogin

lol, yes, bear crazy, you need the IP address and your username..

something like
http://000.000.000.000/~username

Probably the domain name you login to your cpanel using..

so if you login to www.awesomehosting.com/cpanel or www.awesomehosting.com:2033, or 000.000.000.000/cpanel or something to the above, you can view your website at www.awesomehosting.com/~username

maybe, also, your public files will need to be in public_http or httpdocs or something to that effect, and will be the root of your website, so 000.000.000.000/~username will bring up the httpdocs folder, and you can't go lower than that..

I hope that makes sense
[edit]
I gotta start paying more attention

If you look in public_html there's a file called index.php, get rid of it, that's the page your viewing now.. you can replace it with a new index.htm page if you like, or you can leave it as is, and allow people to browse your site using a handy file listing view, that will occur when no index.* page is found

i think he's paying for hosting, but the default page on his server is littered with ads, so until he gets rid of the current index page.....

Forgot to add the song.mp3 to the end of it. Now the page will only have half as many adds and will display the link you just clicked which you must click again. Stupid prohosting.

I've got myself set up with a different ad-free host now, but I can't figure out how to set up so people can access specific files, which is why I asked the question. I'll probably update with a better link soon.

[EDIT]Here be teh link:

You'll hear my mom walking past in the background a little past halfway through...I need to get that cable .

Thank you for the offer Zone Chicken, but I'm already getting this free from Mr. Bob Douglas, somebody on my team is a family friend and he offered the space + utilities to us. I'm surprised more people haven't jumped on it though.
