I probably sound pretty sad when I ask this but, can someone please tell me what a locked thread is and how it affects it?

It's a thread where one of the moderators has decided things are getting out of hand. Once a thread is locked, no-one can add to it until it is unlocked again.

You can't post in a locked thread, and they're usually locked because they're not worth posting in.

Single-smiley posts aren't worth allowing.

So you locked the entire thread because 3 people made faces at each other? I wanted to post more pictures of dead cats!

And you went and ruined it!

I can assure you that if I hadn't locked it, the following 20 posts (at least) would be filled with smileys. I've seen it happen before, and it's not pretty.

Are you a cat lover by any chance?
And what about just deleting some of the smily posts instead?

It was turning into a user-bashing thread anyway (Raven-bashing in particular), now stop arguing before I lock this thread.

LOL the mods can't go around getting rid of every single post thats pointless in threads like that. That whole thread was full of pretty pointless posts. Even the ones that weren't smileys.

[edit] And why lock that thread? He asked a valid question even if he was too lazy to search for an answer.

Also, a thread is automatically locked if it is inactive for 30 days(I think thats the amount of time, im not too sure though)

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place

Other than penguins, cats also eat f15h, which is bad for both Neo and I.

As far as I can tell, that's not a BB gun. If it is, then it's a very good imitation of a real gun. See the safety lock thingy? I've never seen a BB gun that has one of those. But then again, I haven't seen many BBguns anyway.

Want more pics?

See, now this thread should be locked - guns and dead cats are swaying from the initial subject just a tad.

And yes, to all those fishies out there (neo, TK), I am a cat supporter, and I am proud of it!

lol, TK I suggest you take that down (if possible), it is going a little too far

Quote: "Very easy to make one...

Since when have your bbs had percussion caps, explosives and the lot that makes them work in real guns?

You have more chance killing someone by breathing sixty-thousand miles away than stuffing a load of bbs into a gun and pull the trigger.....well ok that's not true, the gun might be broken

unless the gun is a bbgun it wont work, and from your original sentence it makes no sense unless you mean a real gun...

Neofish, I think he means sticking the BBs with real bullets.
Either way, you will some day learn when somebody is just kidding.
Quote: " it is going a little too far"

Why? No one is getting hurt here. Have you ever been attacked by a dead cat? Most likely not. Guns? Pffft. Anybody who's ever been killed by a gun, please raise your hand.

I do admit it's a bit off topic, but this is what I was going to post in that other thread on annoying creatures. I didn't want to make a whole new thread just for cat carcasses. I'd concider that a waste (unless everyone lent a hand and pointed some weapon at their cats), but recycling a deadish thread isn't that bad.

don't you mean "dead cat"? There's only one dead cat there. And without a DNA sample, can you prove it really is a cat?
