Whats the price for the mini? Bet it'll be a lot, even without the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

$499 starting price US dollars, so about $750 Australian, or around 250 pounds.

It would be neat to stack 10 and have a really neat render farm.

its only 6" x 6" x 2" big! omg

yeah but alot of people tend not to follow the links
not sure about getting one, might be an idea so that I can have something nice and small for the desktop.

I am trying to see about getting alot of smaller desktop systems right now. You seen the new Alienware Area-51 5300, very small and plush.
The prices for both systems are very good for what they are, so for about £1,500 should be able to get both and have some good mid-range systems.

The one thing I am disappointed at is the fact that the Apple Mini is still using last generation technology. No SATA, No PCI-X. Quite disappointing really.

Its £339 in the UK, which is not that good value. Might have to think about that.

Still, not as bad as the usual £ = $-20 (eg. $500 = £480) algorithm we normally do for IT gadget stuff, and no-one else seems to have have to do (like Petrol and stupid TV licences).

Would be really good as sort of a backup portable PC. You know, there you are at some PC retarded relatives house, your laptop has run out of batteries, your PDA is too small for decent web browsing, and the gods of wireless have seen fit to have a neighbour with an open connection. Tops. Dig out of car glove compartment, plug in... coff... retrieve keyboard and mouse and monitor... coff... and you are away!!!! Wow... Ok, so slight negative there, but I'm such a gadget freak that I should lock myself away just incase. If it has that slowly pulsating light on the side (like Mac lappies) then I will have to kill myself or sommit. My sisters got one and it's annoying the hell out of me how cute it is (my laptop can play Doom3 no problem and has 1920x1200 resolution, but it *isn't* cute). Grrr...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing
