But Force Lightning has so many other uses other than charring Light Side Jedi. It can bbq a chicken, stop your mother-in-law from visiting, increase the power of your satellite dish, increase the power coming out of your PSU, get rid of your ugly neighbors trailer, train your dog, train your cat, train your russian mail order bride, etc.

I mean, with that functionality, whats not to like?

Well, I haven't played KotOR 2 yet (stupid x-Box-first policy ), but in KotOR 1,
Stasis Field/Destroy Droid+Master Speed+Master Valor+Flurry and a good lightsaber >>> anything.
And Force Whirlwind > Master Lightning.

I really didn't like DS in KotOR 1. I tried to be DS once, and I was literally sick of torturing people I had once been really nice to (I gave up before even finishing Taris). If I want to be Darth Eeevil, I shouldn't have to become Darth Obnoxious first. I'd be more of the "subtle evil" type. Carth yelling at me every time I made a DS decision didn't seal the deal, either. Who knows? Maybe I'll try DS in KotOR 2. I'm still a heavy-duty lightsider.

I know that they have up to episode 9, but Lucas said he would not make the last three. I read the books and they were not that great. Luke ends up going to the dark side.

Timothy Zahn is a GREAT author, i loved those books..

In any case, i dont think 3 will be all that great, but it will be a lot darker(which could be interesting).. I think 7, 8, 9.. should start getting into the new republic, and Luke(the older Mark Hamil) finding, and training the jedi's he finds... including the children of Leia and Han.

Would be nice to get those.. what're they called.. Yuuzhan Vong into the storyline for a battle from the new jedi's and the new enemy(which presence cant be felt with the force)... They'd be pretty cool looking in a movie too.

originally goerge had 12 planned...he then decided that he'd have to make 4,5, and 6 first because he didn't have the special effects for the first 3 (massive armies)

after making 4 and 5 he knew that he probably wouldn't be able to make all 12 so he made 6 setup so that if nessecary he could end it there...but if he wants to he can make more...then he went on to episode 1 and 2, and now 3

but he doesn't have enough time to make episodes 7,8, and 9...if he is going to do them..then he's the only one who knows...not you're freind

he says this after the movies become such a success. and force lightning was only used on robots when there were four or more, that way i strike al of them with storm, it farking ruleszorz, but in a game like jedi knight i hate lightning grip and drain. dual sabers with throwing and speed is all i like to use. and in single player pull and push although in single player grip is also pretty cool, fling those storm troopers over into reactor cores.

I agree with peter's post awhile back. The first three were great because everything looked like it had been around awhile. That made all the technology stuff seem real and it just faded into the background where it belongs. The story reigned supreme. This is also why LOTR works. Episode one lost all that. Too shiny and new. Not to mention wanting to strangle anakin with jar-jars tongue. But it was not a bad movie, just dissapointing. Two was not nearly so bad. A bit cheesy all too often but then so were 4,5,and 6 still a bit too much with the effects. I think the 3 will have given Lucas time to find what works and it will be better, but still cheesy of course. Thats just his way. Ever notice how many times characters say "I have a bad feeling about this" In the originals.

But they are one and all entertaining. so I will go back. And of course many kudos to lucas for inventing what could possibly be the coolest weapon of all time. The lightsaber.

Something really catchy that makes people stop and think about the meaning of life and say to themselves "My but thats clever"
