Hey guys, bare in mind i cant really be arsed to learn to code, unless it was taught to me in a really easy to follow manner and took no time at all to learn, ok that aint gonna happen! So....

I was cheking this out, http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1584500670/qid=1105991103/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_9_4/202-1406637-3917430 and considering its really low price, do you think i should get it? It would give me soething to do before FPSC and i may be able to make some kool lil games, note i already have the full version of TGF. This may also jus provide some kool ideas!

Please all, leave your thoughts.

I would say no. I have full versions of TGF, click and create, Multimedia fusion and a beta version of Jamagic. I also own
"Pie 3D GCS". And i think you should wait for FPSC. "Pie 3D GCS" is outdated and no longer supported. Its not worth your hard earned money any more. Not with Fpsc comming up so soon. Stick to TGF for now. Its not worth it for "PIE 3D" trust me.

OK cheers for that, what about,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1593270046/ref=br_lf_b_17/202-1406637-3917430

If i could put in the effort of learning, and if this book is easy to follow...

Or of course there's DBPro for more money, but i feel i'd have to devote more time then i have to it.

Opinions please

I have both blender books and they help, but why not just go to the blender site and find stuff there, it's free you know.

Ok, and without going off topic (this is the FPSC forum, my bad) but what is blender capable in the way of games? Whats the difficulty level? How hard is it to pick up? Remeber i don't have that much time to devote to the cause.

Sorry, but this has gone far past anything to do with FPSC. I suggest you take your discussion to the general discussion area.

I shall take this one step further and actually move it to Gen Discussion.

Blender is not great for creating games, or game models for that matter. It might be just dandy for cut scenes and multimedia stuff though - but I've still to see a game friendly model made in Blender.

Blender now has its own game engine built in, it is a bit hard to get around at first, but as soon as you pick it up, you got yourself a good tool.
As for models, once again check the site. [href]www.blender.org[/href] I think.
