hello people,
i'm having some problems with IRQ and memory address conflicts lately. i bought a new PC. it didnt have any problems when i bought it. but i had to format it and make new partitions becoz it had a single partition. and i installed a new Windows XP pro. then problems occured.
everytime i play 3d games my computer restarts. i checked the IRQ and i found it was sharing it with some USB host controllers. here's a copy of what i got:

and i also checked for harware conflicts and sharing and this is what i got:


i just need some help on this and how i could make a unique IRQ for my ATI 9200 128MB.

BSOD IRQ Crash = Memory Corrupt
Silent Reboot = Underpowered PSU

It is really as simple as that. I've been learning the hardway that the current budget technology is nothing like the high-end, unlike the last time I purchased budget, that system lasted a good 6years heh ... my computer is *once* again in the damn shop. I swear it's had more down-time than up-time.

I swear if it is the Asrock Mobo like myself and techy were suspecting the other day, I'm going to ask for it to be swapped for the Gigabyte one and I'll pay the damn difference cause I've had enough.

thankx Leyvin for the quick reply. but what does ur settings do? does it enable me to configure my own IRQ to my device or does it solve my problem for once and for all?

Windows automatically restarts when it gets a system failiure. Right click My Computer, go to Properties, Advanced, Startup & Recovery and click "settings". There should be a checkbox under System Failiure saying "Restart computer".

f you untick that it might giev more details when it crashes (I haven't had the luxury of having a system failiure for a while).

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!

i did so David T. it gives me BAD_POOL_CALLER or DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. what does this indicate to? its a new PC and i'm sure all the RAMS are fine. and everything is fine. it was working great when i brought it. when i made new partitions all this started to occure.

how about you unpartion them and maybe uodate everything and get sp2 because they fixed most of their bugs in it

yea i got the latest drivers for everything. my mobo, sounds card.modem.graphics card and even updated my BIOS. i tried installing SP2 but on the setup i gave me a "Valid windows CD key" error. i'll try out this vitual memory thing. i'll write to u guys later. thankx in advance.

well, so far so good David T. ive configured the virtual settings as u told me and played FIFA 2003 with 1024x768x32 for 40 minutes and no restarts or blue screen of death. but i still need to do alot of test to confirm that there's no problem. need to play more games for 3 days or more to make sure everything is alrite. if so then id thank god that there's geniuses like u thankx for helping.

An Asrock mobo? oh why oh why? I always heard great things about gigabyte, but I had two of them and both had problems. I finally just got an Asus, no problems since.

i was always afraid it might be a memory problem. faulty memoriescan cause such errors. but sometimes drivers do the same thing. i updated everything. and i dont think it might be a memory problem. anyways since i followed David T steps about the virtual memory i havnt had any sudden reboots or erros. and i'm still doing some testing. i'm playing Need for Speed underground. i need a few more days just to make sure. oh and btw. my mobo is intel.
