Yeah I was very sleepy earlier. You can easily hook up 3 LED's. You can put a 220 ohm 1 W resistor in series with a 2V 50mA LED and parrallel this circuit with the Zenier diode D1 (the 12V supply) this will tell you when the power is on. Making it come on when you touch the plate will come from Pin 6 or 1 (probably pin 1 but I am a bit sleepy still) of the Dual Flip Flop IC (4013 high voltage model make sure its rated for 12VDC many are only 5VDC) and making it come on when the light is on will come off of pin 13 of the flip flop chip. I would have to study on it a bit to tell you how to hook those 2 up though. Pin 1 is the output for the trigger circuit and pin 13 is the output for the flip flop (on/off) circuit.
