Hello i am trying to build a piano keyboard game. I gave up on midis and the "load music" command because you have to stop it every time you play a note and you cant play 2 notes at once. and i figured out that the "load sound" would work a lot better with what i want to do but i have been searching on the net for days trying to find mp3 or wav piano notes or a program that lets you convert midis into mp3s or wavs i found a converter and converted my midi notes into mp3s but they wont play and darkbasic doesnt even recognize them. i tried converting them on media players i think i tried about every thing i can possibly try.. can someone tell me how to get any kind of mp3 or wav piano sounds because i have a lot of good music game ideas.. plz respond..

Shipped with Windows is a small applet called Sound Recorder. (Windows 98SE C:\WINDOWS\SNDREC32.EXE 108KB) It can record anything that you hear on your system. It can record in radio quality to CD quality. The quality control is under the File+Properties (select the Recording format). Fiddle around with this applet to learn how to make it record what you want how you want it.

If the recorder does not appear to record then you'll have to go to your system's Volume Control applet recording interface (Options+Properties) and make sure that the Stereo/Mixer is the device selected for recording from, many systems default to the microphone.

You have missed my point.

Use the recorder to record the midi into a wave file as the midi player plays the song.
