Did you set up the paths in DarkEDIT to the DB folder?

I used to have this error a lot. It's usually because you haven't saved the file that your currently working on. When Dark Edit Compiles, it always makes a .tmp of your current project. Once you save your project, it should work fine.

When you first install DarkEdit, it may not have the correct path to your DB folder. Here's how to check. Click on the Edit Menu, then Edit Options. Click on the tab that says "DarkBASIC Options" to set the paths for the DB folder, help files, and the startup path.

Odysseus is right; you usually have to save the file you're working on before compiling it.
