Hey guys,

I finished up a little demo of the Display Options. Everything works except for the "Load Skin" button because we got to finish the rest of the game first .

Here's the link:
http://UnderworldGaming.hellmutharts.com/DisplayOptionsDemo.zip

Let me know what you guys think .

EDIT: I know that the "Close" button is little out of place right now, but I'll move it when I come back to code the "Load Skin" button when were at the end of this project.

he he. i bookmarked this thread a while ago at page one and for about a week i've been loadin it up and thinking "why has no one posted anything?". man i'm a drongo.
looks great tim. it scales fullscreen on my pc and i'm thinking a slightly smaller font might fit the real estate a bit better. that might change at 640x480 or 800x600 though.

Ya, I was starting to feel like I was talking to myself there for a while .

Anyways I figure people will be more interested in this thread when I post the Classic Mode demo .

I almost done with it now, I just got the score display up and running. Today when I get home I'll get the time and goal bars up and running.

@BlinkOk - I was if you could make a image to go around the gem that the mouse is over. Like when you move the mouse over a gem it shows a little image around the gem, so the user knows if the the gem is being selected or not. Right now I'm just using a 40x40 green box, and it looks really crappy . Actually if you don't mind we could make like different ones to match each skin, like for the desertwestern one have like a laso (AKA: spinning rope thingy). But if you don't want to we could just use the same one for each skin, it really doesn't matter, but I think it would look cool . Also, the "numbers" image worked great .

See Ya .

...[cough] (bump) [/cough]...

Well, I have just recently got DBPro, so I'm trying to upgrade this project to Pro, but I've been messing with stuff trying to figure everthing out. I've sucessfully rewritten the code for the Display Options, and I'm currently rewritten the Classic Mode. I was previously using sprite collision for all the buttons and stuff for this whole project, but I think I'm going to stop using sprites because theres really no need for them.

I'll post again when the Classic Mode is done .

Ok, mostly everthing works now. I must say switching this project to DBPro was a great move, the game goes so much faster! The only thing left to do is add the time and score bars in. After we get those in it will be basically finished, we just got to touch up some things and it will be good to go .

Hey guys,

I'm sorry to say that I don't have a demo ready for the Classic Mode yet, mostly because my home computer has been messed up for quite some time now. However, their is some good news I got it fixed .

Here's what is done so far in the Classic Mode:

-Pause Button
-Cheat Button
-Gem Selection
-Gem Swapping
-Gem Breaking Horizontally
-Gem Breaking Vertically
-Score Counter
-Time and Score bars now work

Here's What is left to do:

-Adjust Graphics
-Adjust Scoring
-Adjust Time
-Add mutiply levels-----------> EDIT: Mutiply Levels Now Completed (4/26/05)
-Get Menu Button Working

I think thats basically it, BlinkOk has to a couple things for me first though (check you email ). I'm going to adjust the scoring and time right now, and also add mutiply levels. So, anyways sorry for the delay I'll try to get a demo out soon as possible.

I eagerly await your project. Underworld 1020 and BlinkOk are working real well together and will have a beautiful project to show for it. Keep up the good work.

EDIT: (11/24/05)

Just in case anybody looks here, the project isn't dead, its just on hold till like the end of January; I'm saving for a notebook PC.

EDIT: (4/29/06)

I've now have my new compter and have been working on this project. I'm currently oranizing all the code, trying to make things efficent, rather then just getting it over with. Please stay tuned...
