OK, I'm not to big to admit it when I've been wrong. I know I was all over many of you "search firsters", but this guy is really demonstrating the other side of the issue. While I still believe it's easier to just answer a repeated question than to flame about using the search, I see there are a few who post multiple threads about things that have been clearly and recently discussed on multiple other threads.

My humblest apologies.

glyvin (never thought I'd see myself saying this)...use the search function!

If Milkshape can export .X, then ANYTHING you import into milkshape will work. That goes for any and all modeling programs.

Well, I wouldn't say everything would work. Last time I check Milkshape has had trouble with other formats when trying to export to .X. I'm not sure if that has improved by now. I really need to get back into creating models.

I dont think Milkshape imports the animations with the HL model file. Only the model. So you would have to animate it yourselfe.

Get a program called GCFScape then you cna open the HL2 archive files that contain all the media and extract the models.

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!
DOWNLOAD PLUGINS HERE: http://www.davidtattersall.me.uk/ and select "DarkBasic"

I asked earlier on in this forum about the
Recomended Polycount of enemies.
I think it was about 1000 polys.
That is not the absolut number its just
a recomendation.. its about as many polys per
enemy as "Serious Sam"
