just came up with a routine to input commands during a text
adventure game. let the comments, insults, and flames begin.

I just tried it. I had to put "wait key" at the end just to see the message, but to be honest, needs more work.

For a start, this

input$="yes"
input$="no"

is redundant.

And it would need to be able to handle more than just one word per sentence.

I'm not flaming you, I'm just giving an opinion here.
