Can anyone tell me,
is FPS Creator creating the game itself, or can I get the DarkBASIC / C++ source code for it?

I mean, can I add my one code to the game created?

Thanks!!

It creates an EXE file. It does not generate source code.

He means if FPSC is just an engine. An engine is just a DLL file that you insert in your C++ project, and compile with your C++ editor.

The answer is that FPSC is a program itself that makes games, it is not JUST an engine.

As far as i know a game engine is FAR more then just a DLL file.

It could be just a DLL file. DLLs can contain almost any amount of code and hooks to that code.

Basically dark.

Well ok then. I take that back.
But the majority of Game engines
that i have had contact with was
more then just 1 DLL file.

Yes, there might be more than one file, like Torque game engine, but some are just DLL, depends.

DesertEagle,

If you want something like that, I'd suggest looking into the following:

http://www.aztica.com/modules/news/

http://www.truevision3d.com/

Both are COM objects which can be used with a variety of software development tools such as VB 6, Delphi, VS.NET and Visual C++.

Thanks, Rich Brockway.
It sounds great.
I'll try them as soon as I'll get a bit more of experience with DarkBASIC, cuz I've already started and its fun & easy...
