I have a user of my 3D Earth Viewer http://www.3dscientifics.com/3d_earth.html from Sweden getting the following error:

"Runtime error 1514 - 24 bits not supported.
Select either 16 or 32 bit mode at line 0."

He has the last Direct X Version loaded - any ideas?

I think it's telling him/her that 24 bit color isn't supported on their particular graphics card, or it isn't supported in combination with a particular screen resolution. Do you explicitly set a display mode in your DBP program? Maybe you could perform a checklist of supported modes at program startup and let them choose from a list?
