Geek Culture / Blue Text???

In the last couple days on of my computers started outputing blue text in my file names. Not all the file names are blue, but a good portion of them are. This has never happened before so there must be something wrong. What do you guys think could be wrong.

Assuming you're using Windows XP, the blue colour usually represents a NTFS compressed or encrypted file. There's an option to turn it off (Tools > Folder Options > View Tab) when you have any explorer window open, just scroll down the list until you see the option to 'Display Encrypted/Compressed Files in Colour' and uncheck it.

but then you don't see what's encrypted and what's not

No encryption (built-in, at least) in XP Home.

It's like, only the business people are important enough to not have their files hacked, because otherwise they'd switch to Linux, right?

Whereas your average (NOTE: *AVERAGE*) brainwashed home user...
