The first episode of the new Captain Scarlet was show today

The CGI wasn't bad (but, as usual is way too sharp), although the lip-syncing was awful.

The script wasn't too bad, although the car/motorbike chase scene was rather tacky (bendy road, with no other vechiles around apart from a tractor that gets conveniently in the way).

The music is awful, which is a shame, but hopefully will change now that the Mysterons have been introduced.

Whether its better than the original remains to be seen - its on from 10:30am to 11:00 on Saturdays and should be repeated (along with the second lot of 13 episodes) from September.
