My HangMan game has become more of a work in progress so I'll make the rest of my posts about it here. Current Features are:

Around 180 words/phrases to play

Correctly guess letters pop up one by one. Wheel of Fortune kind of feel

High Score Table

Draws The Hangman of course!

Displays letters you've already guessed

Won't count previously guessed letters against you

Tells how many of the letter you guessed were in the word/phrase

Tells Points Gained/Lossed

Prevents Repetitive words until all have been used or until game is exited and entered again. Game automatically calculates the number of words that exists from the txt files.

Included Word Adder Program for adding your own words. Up to 50 categories and 100 words per category. Word Adder will tell you if the word you're trying to add already exists in the category and won't add it. (Program is still being updated) Read the ReadMe.txt file for details on this one.

Currently existing Categories and words can be removed by simply deleting the Category name in the Categories txt file with no harm to the game.

Future Updates Will Include:

Add categories within the word adder

Delete categories/words within the word adder

Replace categories/words within the word adder

Better than other versions I've seen.

When I add words, are you asking players to submit additions or anything?

And what's the music? Sounds familiar.

No, the Add Word part is simply for those who want to add their own words for whatever reason it may be.

and the music... "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac

When adding new categories the Word Adder would keep replacing the first word added instead of adding to the list. It's fixed and uploaded to the same link. I never meant to spend so much time on this little game but it's addicting to add just one more thing.

I'm soon moving on to my next project, 2d side scrollers. I'm wanting to get an editor together that will take a lot of the pain in the @$$ stuff out of making one of these games. First I will probably just make a few simple one level side scrollers to get a better understanding as to how one of these games comes together.
I want the editor to be able to start new games easily without all the major setup hassles. This is something that will test my patience and coding ability(which is not great! but not the worst!) but maybe I'll get it done eventually...

Damn, Geocites fails the world again! When I click the link it comes up with some sort of server error.

BTW, but is it me, or am I the only one taking an interest in this?

I expected at least a couple more people taking an interest.

I know it's not much, but you did put the effort in.

That I did and I appreciate you saying so
Suggestions from people to make the game more fun by adding new twists or whatever would be nice.
Just no 3d in this one!
Maybe in the sequel "The Revenge of the HangMan"
...ooops did I just leak that one out!

lol.

Not much you can add to this, I odn't think. Possibly an "idiot" option so players can choose whether they get penalised for choosing letters they've already used?

i prefered the classic hang man what we did in primary school, gather some kids with lack of common sense get a teacher rope and a stand and let the kids guess the name, hah they all thought mrs rosamond got the sack, they were wrong,

anyways, nice idea to make the old classic of a game

Can anyone tell me the theory of knowledge?

Like I said Baggers, I only have the first download that FakeBlood made available. I little bugger must've got in after I downloaded it.

The virus might be ready and waiting at Geocities or whatever FakeBlood's using now. Possibly.

(I wouldn't care, but I warned Drew Cameron about this a while ago, but he insisted his games were 100% virus free)
