sry, but noone knows about it well enough to comment , i bet u could do an RTS if u work on it hard, just ask questions when u get stuck , and make it designed on something u like. Such as if you like Pirates of the Caribbean (ME!!!!) then base the RTS on that, although that would seem kinda challenging, well i guess not, a city builder type thing, hey thats a pretty good idea, maybe ill start on that next . But seriously just base it on something that interests u

Video games…they can take you places unreachable, impossible, unfeasible. They put you in the book...they put you in the movie...they put you in a world, a world that before could only be imagined.

It would help if you told us a little more about it, but good luck with it. There are far too little DB Real Time Strategy games. ('Firewall' by Bolt is the only one I can think of.)
I started a(n) RTS a long time ago but discontinued work on it.
For suggestions... Keep your code organized! RTS games tend to have many hundreds of Units running around at one time and if each of them has a different piece of code for itself it will get very confusing very fast. Use For/Next loops instead.
Plan Ahead! Do things like organize the units' object numbers into easy to manage sections... for example player one's units will be numbers 1000-1999... player two's would be 2000-2999... then devide the specific types of units into sections too... infantry will be 1000-1299, Vehicles 1300-1599..ect.
You can find many pathfinding tutorials by searching the forum. Well... Good Luck

ok. sry bout that i didn't get a lot of information ok. So here the story(the game time is, like, 10000 year before us on an other planet):

The human whanted to create a new race of creature that they can control. after year of developement, the human scientific finally found the secret on the ADN for developing their new race. Month later, the scientific create the new race named orc. But the human cannot control them because of they high savagity. after 10 year, the orcs as discovered a new land.

All this time, the human where trying to find the orcs. They finally decided to create the same race with less savagity. This time, they can be controled.

The first race finally discused and decided to find and kill their creator. They must do a powerful army to go trougth all the land they crossed 10 year before, and you are their captain.

this was the story. In the game you will do an army of, like, 10000-12000 man and as long as you progress, more new unit will join you.

Oh, and, how do we post image on the forum because I have an image to post

Do you mean you will 10,000 men in your army? Because i dont think thats even feasable in db.

It is possible but it takes an enourmous amount of work nothing a newbie could likely acheive. And you can only really get a few 1000 at a time so yeah its limited.

@cookyzue: Yeah your the orc leader and your against the new orc race of the human.

@The admiral: oh ok. I was thinking you can get an enormous army but, like, 500 character for an army will be fine.

Well, make one up in paint or something, then either use a sprite or a plain to put it on the screen.

@cokkyzue: I already make one but I don't know wich command I should use.

@andrew Neale: Yes it is. And I will put him in the credits.

Finally, the HUD was so simple. I just make an object plain.
