Hey all,

This isn't a hijack as I'm facing a similar problem.

I've searched Google and download.com for FREE drag-n-drop HTML editors, and can't seem to find any at all. The only good ones I found (HTML-KIT among them) are code editors only. It would be nice for my wife just to drag her pictures on and type what she wants. If they have templates even better but if not I can make one for her.

It has to be free, so don't say Dreamweaver or Frontpage

Thanks

There's one I found a while ago while trying to find a good ASP editor. But the name has slipped my mind. It was something like FirstPage or something like that. I think it's still on my laptop somewhere...

You could always give her WebMatrix.

NetObjects Fusion really is Drag and Drop, and it automatically maintains links between pages, navigation bars, levels, borders, titles and a whole load of other stuff. You can rearrange your navigation and hierarchy, and it changes all the links for you.

Version 7 is free. It appears on magazine covers frequently.

Jeku: try coolpage. (If it's still around) It's a really really easy to use ediot.

Jopie dopie: Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver is probably the best combo to make web page designs.

Umm... this is for my wife (like I said). She is not into computers (aside from browsing her Chinese websites and checking her email).

Try PHPNuke. It is very simple to use and makes very nice webpages.

Only downside would be if you were using a free based web host. Most will not support PHP and will not give you the required access to a mysql database. It's pretty easy to install it's completly opwn source and free and it has many users that can help you.

Check it out
