I thought it would be useful to have a thread, the solo purpose of which is to provide reviews of any games / software that are DarkBASIC related. It could be a review of a a game in the program announcements, in the existing showcase, in the competitions or even in the 20 liners section. It would provide a useful way for people to choose games which are worth downloading and also give the developers the recognition they deserve. If we keep it to a review per post then we will have a useful compendium of DarkBASIC games. Feel free to do more than 1 review or to review a game someone else has already done. Heres my first review, it would be good if everyone was to stick to the same format.

When you first play this game you will be in for a surprise. The depth in this game is incredible, beyond many existing commercial products. The game itself is huge, with an immense amount of freedom and detail, much more than expected from your usual DarkBASIC download. It can be a little slow to begin with and the sheer size of it can be daunting, but get into it and you'll be immersed into a universe of space trading and battling like none other. Give it the time it deserved and become engrossed in this incredible space adventure.

Scoring (out of 10):
Gameplay: 8
Its can be daunting at first but once you get into it, the gameplay is deeply engrossing. Although it lacks pick-up-and-play gameplay due to its complexity, the main focus of the game appears to be a deep and complex space conquest.
Visuals: 9
Apparently better visuals are on the way in the next installment, but to be honest, they are already some of the best visuals I've seen in a DarkBASIC game.
Sound: 3
Sound and music wise the game was a little lacking, but they still score some marks for fitting in with the ambience of space (perhaps slightly questionable generosity). However, the next installment is set to improve in this area.
Lifespan: 10
No questions here... its a huge game.
Overall: 9
Its not for people who want a quick 10 minute blast on a game, but for those willing to put the time in its a great game and well worth a download.
Simple... yet fun!
