If he faces the opposite way, then you should have him point at the camera coordinates like he is, but then rotate him 180 degrees. Not sure in which axis, but try each of the following after your point object line: either

rotate object 1,180,0,0
rotate object 1,0,180,0
or
rotate object 1,0,0,180

It's bound to be one of those

If its facing the wrong way, then it has probably been rotated the wrong way in a modeling program, or modeled like it.

as soon as you load the model, use:
y rotate object ObNum, 180
fix object pivot ObNum

I remember when I had that same problem a while back. It was a FPS game and the alien enemy guys would attack the player with their backs facing the player. I tried rotating it and everything, but couldn't get it to work right. Then I seen the Fix Object Pivot command in the help menu. Just do what TKF15H said and it should work just fine .

Oh you'd be amazed what source code gets up to when you're not looking. I pointed my webcam at the screen once when I went for a sandwich... I'm telling you, I won't be doing that again.

It doesn't take long. Normally you're safe for a toilet break, but you should always knock on re-entering just to be sure you're safe.
