I am looking for some n00b tutorials.
Just simple stuff for the demo, because the DBP don't have any!

First, how about a simple "hello WOrld"
I tried Print "HEllo WOrld",
and Print "HEllo WOrld";
But that didn't work

And a simple room creation tutorial would be nice!

Thanks EveryOne

Hey OneTouch, there are two possible things wrong.

1. try taking away the ; or any mark after "Hello World"

2. The script may need to be in Caps, not sure about this one though.

Copy & paste this to see what I mean...

PRINT "HELLO WORLD"
WAIT KEY

Notice there is no symbol after the last " in "HELLO WORLD" it was probably that, but it could be a mixture of both.

I hope this can help you,

Umm Yummy!
A book sounds nice.
IF it is a educational book to teach ya how to use DBP, I am on it. I hate that all the info for A5 and others are all on my PC. Hurts the eyes after awhile, but a book! Now thats nice!

Is there a place that I may be able to read about this?

Ooh Shadow, nice try, but it didn't work!
It is properly coded as
WAIT (2000). At least I knew that much.

I am just used to having that comma after the instruction!

You eat books? strange.

Anyway,
WAIT KEY
is actual syntax, it'll work. So will
WAIT 2000
The first waits untill a key is pressed, the second waits 2 seconds.

"Not out yet :'C :-("
Yeah, he said 'coming soon'.

Hey OT, it worked for me, maybe it is just your comp, or mine that is giving it the effect. It worked when I tried it, but I had to use the step through part of the engine, & had to work my way around it, I never tried the run script thing, only the stepthrough.

I got the WAIT KEY part from the manuel, but I explained why your script wasnt working in basic, remember, you can put a , or a ; after the closing ".
