The question I ask is because I would like to use the append animation-command and share animation-data between models taken from a base-models animation-data. In that cases I don't haveto animate all models but just one.

So if I use the append-command from a bone-animated model to a model with the same bone-setup, will that run? And can you manipulate the bones as you could do with limbs? (ie. rotate, scale, glue ect.)

I've heard the append and limb-commands are broken and should not be used, is this true and if so, will they be fixed in a "near future"?

I'm not sure if what your trying to do will work - but yes, bones are limbs, and they can be rotated, scaled, and offset to affect your animation - I use this quite a bit for things like enemy torso rotations for aiming in FPS games.
