GET PAID TO SURF!
45 - 75 cents an hour.
http://www.surfjunky.com/?r=videogameaholic

You just open the page and let it sit there and it automatically refreshes every 30 sec. You get paid to do nothing.

Check my stats:
-Hours spent surfing: 11.18
-Your earnings: $4.38
and I was asleep for about 7 hours

They want you to use IE but I hate IE so you can get the firefox extension that makes it look like you are using IE:
http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/useragentswitcher

There is another extension that someone recommended called "minimize to tray" or something but I just leave mine minimized to the task bar or in a separate tab while I surf elsewhere.

Two referral links.

You fail to realize that we are your only friends.. and you're losing us.

I don't get how this site can't be a scam!

If it is automated, why can't they just make it refresh every 3 second, going 10 times faster?

Why can't they just run multiple browsers and buy a fast internet connection, will be cheaper and faster in the long run?

Simple... yet fun!

Well of course nobody WANTS to go out of business, but it happens all the time. If they keep this thing going then good for them and more money for me.

Everyone says the problem with referral schemes and whatnot is that one person gets millions and everyone else gets less and less down the chain. I don't care if the makers of that site get a billion dollars as long as I get like $100.

For a lot of scams out there you have to pay money to join, but for the free ones, there is no reason not to sign up since you can't possibly lose any money.

The surfjunky server limits it to once every 30 seconds, if you try to refresh faster or open a new browser window then it'll give you a warning and too many warnings = ban.

That's 10 percent I wouldn't be getting otherwise.

But you can have it running in the background while you do other stuff...sleep, go to class, go to your REAL job, etc.

SETI@home isn't just listening to radio static.... it's a cool project which might (probably won't, but you never know) pick up something interesting. Pulsars maybe, or even intelligent life.

On the other hand, your referral thang is truly a waste.

It has a 3 level referral program where you get a percentage of what they make.

SETI has as much chance of success as surfjunky. People buy lottery tickets all the time and have a 1 in 1 million chance of success. This is like a free lotto ticket.

No, you shouldn't quit your job for this, but if you have this running while you go to work then you have extra money and what reason could you possibly have to say no to extra money (regardless of how much)?

Ya a free lotto ticket, that you won a dollar on (lotto tickets costing one dollar, of course)

How much are you paying in electricity to keep your computer running?

Quote: "I bet there is some minimum amount you need in your acount in order to get that money, and I BET you never get that minimum amount."

25 dollars.. Plus they require unique visits.. 11 hours of pages, only 4.38, I bet your run out of ads to look at real quick, so unless you get two dozen fools to actually look at ads for two days, you got nothing.

I think posting this here is against the surf junky rules

Quote: "Spam:
You may not promote your referral links through unsolicited emailing (i.e. SPAMMING), newsgroup postings, or any other method of mass communication. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination of your membership with Surf Junky and may result in legal prosecution. Surf Junky strictly enforces anti-Spamming laws. Spamming is a federal crime. Any member caught Spamming will not only have their account terminated immediately and lose any past, present and future earnings, but shall also be held liable for Spamming as we shall cooperate with any authorities and investigations that may arise from the Spamming incident. Surf Junky may charge up to $5 per spam email sent. Multiple sign-ups shall be grounds for immediate termination of all involved accounts. Signing up multiple times from the same computer also constitutes fraud. Surf Junky will file charges for recovery of any earnings received from multiple sign-ups."

I think this forum counts as a method of mass communication wich is against the surf junky rules.

I was being sarcastic. How anyone could be excited over earning $0.40/hour is beyond me.

Neofish is right in that this is nothing but a pyramid scheme and you've posted your referral link, directly breaking the rules of the forum. If you're going to post things like this in the future (please don't), then remove the referrer link.

Thanks
