using objects from darkmatter, how would i code it so when i press the up key, the character does the walk animation and does the idle animation when i let go? i use darkbasic classic (as it says in the title of my post)

when you say not the best way, isn't darkbasic meant to make it simple to code, so maybe there for, the best way? I get all hacked up about code not working 110%. for mr splatface its cool cus it works like a charm. hear that? like a charm.
