I've been testing my Dumbo and Cool game on 4 different machines - on 2 of these systems, the game simply did not load ... the screen went black and then nothing happened.

I'm trying to figure out what's causing this problem.

I would greatly appreciate if some users could try this demo out, see what happens and post their specs... maybe I can join some dots and see if it's related to RAM or whatever.

Sincere thanks in advance, I know 3mb is a big file.

Drew

Works on my GeForce4MX (64Mb) 512Mb Dell Machine. Latest video drives, Windows XP Profession with SP2

Looking very nice by the way - but you dont die when you fall in the water.

I'm going to see what happens on my 2000 machine now (that has a very poor internal graphics card).
Ah! Cant test it on that, as your using 32-bit graphics mode...

It could be the shaders that the program uses that causes the problem. Did you do this in DarkSDK ?

Game loaded what I assume to be fine. Without a point of reference it is hard to say if it was running as it was suppose to be.

Seemed alright though. System specifications are below my post.

System: Windows XP CPU: AMD Athlon 2600+ RAM: 512MB Video: GeForce FX 5200 Audio: C-Media 9739 DirectX: Version 9.0c

There are some freeware zip programs that can handle .rar.
Just search.

Right - will look into that bug for you Alex Riva I have a good idea what it could be though...

Any more? This really is appreciated, as if I want to do this as a commercial project, it obviously needs to be stable

Because shaders are the prime source of problems... First thing I thought of was shaders...

It could be being pulled in from one of the DBPro DLL's, which makes me think the shader system could still be being initialised.
