Hi everyone,

After fourteen months of work, I finally built an e-business store front and put my first product out which was developed entirely in Dark Basic Pro.

I had a lot of help from reading what others posted and they are too numerous to recall everyone but I thank the community for their help and support. Even if this goes no further than this, it has always been a dream to get my own software company going, just to say I've done it.

This thread is moved to General.

The reason I moved it is that you are promoting your website, rather than a specific game.

If you want to promote your game, and link to your website, that's fine, but don't do it the other way around.

Thanks,
Jess.

Good job .
Also, I would suggest putting up demos or something for the games or programs that you're selling, it would probably boost your sales.

Well done for making it this far!

Can I suggest you sell yourself more. Your site is very modest, which isn't good for marketing. Remove references to "might run slow" - show game specs, but don't highlight the downside if you don't meet them!

And yes, lots of bigger screenshots.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone and sorry Jess. I didn't mean to get that screwed up. I actually was trying to show that I was doing something with it and not necessarily promote anything. I figured it might give incentive to others. I can see where that might have been mistaken. I should have thought that through better.

I'll work on the page now and take your suggestions. I've thought about the demo and will see about getting it underway now. The interesting thing about the store front is that the first item I put up there has to have a cost. Then there is something about the instructions where I can put a free program on the same page but I'll have to read up on it.

I'm not a salesman but I'll learn. LOL!!!

Thanks,

Steele

An update. I have a demo on the page now as well as a test for the computer. I also enlarged the pictures as well as change the color scheme.

Unfortunately, I have to charge on the shopping cart a total of 1 cent because it won't let me use a zero cost. So, the cost of the demo is $0.01. LOL!!! But I figure it is close enough to free.

I'd use the web space I have but it only allows me to upload a maximum of four megabytes at a time and this thing is about 9.8 compressed.

I'd rather have someone else market and handle the business while I create. Any takers?
