I received my copy the other day and have been playing it and generally having fun - but I am stuck and wondered if anyone knew how to get past this bit:

On the first planet (Genosis) there comes a point where your squad splits up to try and dismantle the droid factory. You shoot up to the top of the factory in a lift and once up there have to make your way through the droid racks. The problem is that the racks all contain super battle droids and the slightest bloody touch or noise wakes them up (at which point they ultimately blow you away).

I know you can shoot the droids head-armour off and then if you snipe and hit the glowing red eye thing you can disable the whole droid, but it's tricky when there are 4 of them after you. How do you get through the droid racks? There are spider like sentry guns on the walls too, again very hard to kill.

Cheers,

Rich

Ahh yes, I've been playing the Republic Commando demo lately and it is indeed pretty awesome, I'm definitely going to purchase it as soon as they release it down here. The only real disappointment I saw was that when you shoot the enemies, they don't really look as if they're taking the hits (i.e. they don't get knocked backwards or anything), instead, they seem to just continue on unphased (until they die of course).

Well anyway, I was right about to suggest you look for a place where you can set one of your teammates to do a sniping maneuver but then I realised you said your squad had split up. Maybe you could toss a couple thermal detonators and then snipe the remaining ones?

I borrowed a copy of KOTOR 2 and found that it had the xbox demo, just one level, but great fun.

Have you tried initiating a demolition action thing on the droid rack?

I know how to beat it. Took me a few trys to get it right.

Try walking around instead of the usual run around mode.

Before you get to the wall sentry get your best gun and shoot it a few times. Take cover back behind the wall and continue this tactic until it is destroyed.

Now further down the corridor the battledroids will awaken throw down a grenade. Best would be the electric damaging one. These will make the droids stunned for a bit.

You will then want to take cover as often as possible.
Sometimes you may want to retreat back and then come in guns blazing.
You then should hopefully get the health terminal on the walls as you go.

P.S

Just a small tip the slightest sign of the droids moving. Throw the grenade and shoot them to bits. While taking cover.

Hope that helps you.

Cheers Vulcan will try it later. I didn't give it that many attempts but there was definitely no other route through and those droids are hard enough as it is.
