Newcomers DBPro Corner / Geoscape 3D problem

hey all i just got geoscape 3D, very pleased with it, except one thing, on the premade "grassy mountain" texture set, why does it make parts of the islands textured black? It doesnt seem to be one of the textures with it.

also how do u export? i dont get it? whats a mesh? where does it export to?

someone plz answer, im desperate to try it in DBP . Im still trying, i tried using export mesh, and wireframe, and everything else but it doesnt work, i dont get it, cant u just export the whole thing? then load it as an object in DBP?

at least tell me what to load .ter and .bbt and all these other wierd things it exports it as plz

1. Don't know.
2. goto file>export>mesh it will save it as a directX mesh, which can be loaded into DB with the load object command(in effect it is basically a directX object)
3.It exports to the folder you export it to.
4. Other object formats.

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place

ok,i got it to export, but in the program, when i try to load my grassy mountain texture set, nothing comes up! I didnt delete it, and thats what i was going to use! im very mad! and its probably not the game, is there a way to get it back or something?

nevermind, got it . Luckily there was an island saved with that texture, and loaded it, and since it still had the texture set, i just exported it as a new file

ok, never really done collision before, so is there a simple way to do collision with the map?

err, I don't see any black areas...

and collision is easy. Look at some of the code snippets on the code snippets board. Search the board for sliding collision.

and you texture roads using an image and the texture object command.
