Personally I think the beginners guide to darkbasic is a great book. If you are not understanding it then you should definately invest in this book and watch all your troubles fade away.

The book is more for beginners as it really doesn't cover 3d well mid to advanced topics well. Also the code works better for classic than pro I have heard.

My advice would be first hit the web or library or just a plain basic book or tutorial to get the concepts down. If you are having problems then you will have to put in a little work to get up to speed.
Practice a little every day! I mean it. If you try it and put it down, then try it and put it down you will never get it. there is no short cuts.

Also look at the code snippets. They are really nice. Finally remember there is a difference between classic and pro. The code in NOT interchangeable.

Best of luck
