Hi all, I'm very new to DBP (day 4), I haven't programmed since '87, I'm trying to make a .bsp, (is this the only way to have poly collision?) But I don't understand what it is . Could someone piont me to a tut or post, Have'n trouble finding info, Sorry if it was right under my nose, Haven't slept since I got DBP

BSP's the file format used by games that use the Quake engine, like Half-Life and, of course, Quake. Basically, it's the levels. There are a number of BSP modelling prog's about, you just need to hunt for them, but I use Cartography Shop. It can't make BSPs but the files can be converted to BSP or imported into DBP with an add-on called CSM Import.

A bsp stands for Binary Space Partitioning. It is a complex file format and algorithm that will only make what the camera is looking at. It includes a lot of math to figure out what to show on the screen. The file format is used for the Quake engine and many other games. I have not yet to this day found something that could directly make bsps.
