Newcomers DBPro Corner / Need help with camera position

hi, is there an easier way of positioning a camera behind an object, e.g. behind a the players spaceship.

i have tried allsorts (position camera XYZ,rotate camera XYZ) and i just cant get it right.

I don't remember how reliable it is, but you might want to try SET CAMERA TO FOLLOW

Here this might help, its the 3rd person code from the 3D Monster Hunt tutorial.


You'll pr'lly have to mess with it a bit before it works the way you want.

hey guys i have the same problem but without the whole example cuz it's hard to figure out what sets the camera, so if you could just tell me how to put the camera behind my character?

Could you say that again? It's hard to understand what you mean.
I'm guessing you want to know what the command for place the camera is?

It's POSITION CAMERA X,Y,Z

Where it says 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' would be replaced with numbers of course. This might help to:

SET CAMERA TO FOLLOW X, Y, Z, Angle, Distance, Height, Smooth, Collision

I haven't ever used it so it might not work for you. Hope this helps.
