Hey i worked on this and now i have finished it, make sure you know this ok,I AM A NEWBE! so plz don't be too harsh but here it is.

If its 2d, why not use sprites or even plains?
Also the pattern repeats and the ship moves back to center.

Note: The above I didn't say, your just crazy.

not to mention the fact that since it is just a box that is TOO wide you end up dieing even if the actual ship isn't hit

@ travis - I used them because i found they were the easiest to move. and i made their z axis 0 so it looks like a 2D image.

@SFLM - I dn't know how i could make it change, maybe another ship?

Mrnaughty hope you don't mind, here's part of your code made a bit shorter but does the same job as the 13 lines you have repeated.

what the code does is say Ha yes we hit something, with an else command you can now look up what object is hit and make the code do something for that hit. eg: blue object are worth more than say Green ones.
