Edit: I'd like to note, at the start of the thread, If you don't like what the thread topic is, or what its about... DON'T POST.

Hello once again.

I like to complain, I like to anger people, but I like to complain more. What I am gonna do, Is complain about things every where right now that are just angering me.

People who can't stop quoting and wearing T-Shirts from that damned “Napolean Dynamite” Movie. When it was said in the movie “I'm TO'd” (which apparently means ticked off) it was funny. When my sister and her friends and half the damn United States says “I'm so TO'd” it just isn't funny. Its just making me PPTHO (Pretty pissed the hell off). Same thing goes for the “Vote for Pedro” shirts. Next person I see wearing a “Vote for Pedro” shirt is getting lit on fire. Oh you doubt me now, but you'll see.

On the subject of movies, I am getting sick of hollywood ruining video games. Actually, its not hollywood doing it, its Paul W.S. Anderson. One man that should be killed by gamers around the world for his atrocities towards Resident Evil and now Doom. Mortal Kombat wasn't that bad (wasn't at all good either) but atleast it followed the damned story a bit. On the other hand, I look at the story of the Doom movie(coming later this year) and I see that there is no UAC, no demons, no Hell, and no Mars. The movie takes place on Pluto, its a virus, and instead of a lone marine having to fight hell and high water to live, its a damned SWAT team. It really makes me sad. Paul W.S. Anderson MUST DIE!

Over-priced porn, enough said.(Luckily for me, thundercity exists )

Over-Priced watches that fall apart a few hours after you get them. This gold watch I bought a while back cost me a nice chunk of change... I didn't even put it on yet and the band broke in 3 points. LuckilyI returned the watch for a refund and went on with my day. Since then I never know what time it is when I am away from a clock.

Speaking of watches, i'm also sick of people that when asked “hey, what time is it sir?” respond with “Time to get a watch”. Don't these people realise that not everyone has the money to purchase a watch? I realise that, so when I give the time to someone, I always do it as precise as possible, “Its Twelve Hours, forty two minutes and 6 ... 7 ... 8.... 9 seconds”. Its one thing I can actually claim as a community service, and its good for the community.

I am sick of people I don't know, don't have a clue who they are, adding my MSN to there list just to ask me a question such as “Do you want to help me with my something?????!!!!11111~”. Why can't they stick to email, where it'll be filtered into my spam folder, never to see the light of day. Saves me much needed time.

Did I mention I am sick of over-priced porn? Yes? OK, just making sure I have that base covered.

Today it was pointed out to me (as it does every year) in a pinching factor that it is St. Patricks day. Wow, ya had to pinch me? You couldn't just ask “Why sir, your not wearing green, are you aware its St. Patricks day?” and I could respond accordingly. But no, I had to be pinched by some yuppy jackass on the road saying “YOUR NOT WEARING GREEN!”. You know how I responded? I said something to the liking of “YOUR A DOUCHEBAG, SO WHAT?”. Thats when It was pointed out to me that it was St. Patricks day. So I made it clear to everyone around me that I am not gonna F' Around. I stated to all green wearing people in my area that if you pinch me I was gonna punch them, regardless of gender. That shut them up pretty quickly, and that kept quite a few hands closed. Now, If i wouldn't of woken up late (like I do every day ) and remembered that it was St. Patricks day, I'm sure I woulda found my green Guinness shirt. But alas, I was awake late, so that was out of the question.

While writing this originally, I was writing it inside firefox, instead of openoffice. Well, I saw a link in IRC that had interested me so I clicked it, and I forgot to select “open in new window” so the original post got wiped. That pissed me off enough to write it in here.

Getting sort of sick of our latest strain of Games. The WW2 games that have you placed in normandy and doing the same exact objectives. Last night I was playing Brothers in Arms, and I noticed it starts off a lot like Call of Duty. Your a paratrooper team, and during the drop you get seperated from your team. You then have to look for them etc... Can't anyone make an original game these days? Luckily the squad based action in BiA made up for the stolen story/objectives quite a bit.

Getting sick of the results of me playing any 3d capcom game... a broken controller/ button on controller. The results of Devil May Cry 3 are: 1 broken controller (shattered) and 1 controller with stuck Triangle and Square keys. And I won't get started on what the gamecube controller looks like after Resident Evil 4. good games, just very frustrating at times.

Reality shows that are falsely named. I see no one on surviver having to survive. They are not surviving, they are living in the wilderness pretty nicely might I say so. Now if they stuck them on the island with nothing, not even clothes on their back, having to eat eachother for food until being rescued one year later, I MAY consider that surviving.

Yeah, Right now this is about whats pissing me off... and now a perfect time for you people to list whats pissing you off.

Now please excuse me while I get my “Paul W.S. Anderson Death Ray” Ready.

Eric

seriously someone should do something about the doom movie, id should take away the name , if it's based on the game (which there is no way it can be with that storyline) then ID should hire me to make their movie.

I too hate yuppies that wear shirts with witty slogans pulled from the latest movie, fara faucet king trendsetters i hate the lot of them.

Reality shows in general suck, so doe smtv and its be an individual the way we tell you to be attitude. far out i hate them.

All it is a harmless way to get rid of bottled up anger. If you don't like it, then don't read it

Edit: I forgot to mention that no one is forcing you t read anything, unless there so happens to be a maniac with a gun at your head right now telling you to read this.

No this can be a great thread as many things piss me off too:

- Slow drivers. I'm not talking about those who drive the EXACT speed limit, which is at least tolerable. I'm talking about those that drive 5-10kms UNDER the limit. Why!? What's the point!?

My city (Abbotsford) is the Florida of Canada--- the retirement capital I swear. It's often hard to display anger--- when I finally get around a slow driver and speed up next to their car to do the "look", you know, that look you are obligated to give a slow driver. Most of the time it's a gray-haired old man and then I can't give him the look.

I especially hate it when there's a cop on the opposite side of the ride, in the opposite direction, parked behind a car he's about to ticket. So what do people in my direction do? They SLOW DOWN. Why? Do they honestly think the cop will abandon his current prize and U-TURN to catch us? Since we're usually going EXACTLY the speed limit or 5-10kms UNDER, then it's even MORE ridiculous when they slow down.

I also hate it when there's a cop going in my direction, and he's going the speed limit or just a bit above, but it's legal. Ever notice that EVERYONE is terrified of passing him!? Even when the cop dips BELOW the speed limit, everyone still doesn't want to pass him. I don't remember reading about any laws regarding PASSING a police officer in the slow lane

Done venting. Thank you for your time.

The cause of all my road rage right there. Its not illegal to pass him... he's going the limit, surely you can go to the left lane and kick it up 5 mph and pass the sonuvabitch, but no. They insist on sitting there like morons.

Please don't get me started on MuchMusic (Canada's answer to MTV). Every day they play these ridiculous "Top 10" shows, like "Top 10 Hunks" or "Top 10 Canadian Bands", it drives me up the wall. Good thing we can change to the OTHER MuchMusic TV station to get away from it, right? Wrong. They both air the same crappy top-10 music, and sometimes the same bands AT THE SAME TIME. I saw GreenDay on one, then switched to the other, and THE SAME SONG was on the other one! What's the point of having two, then?

And we have these ridiculous laws in Canada where the radio and TV music stations are forced to play a percentage of Canadian music, like 25-50%, something like that. So you can imagine how much Shania Twain, Celine Dion, and Sum 41 we have to be spoonfed before one cracks.

And what's worse is being boxed in in both lanes, so we couldn't pass if our life depended on it. What if I was delivering my sick great-aunt to the hospital? What if it was a life and death situation? Doesn't matter. We don't want to get a ticket for passing a cop

Hmm.. things i hate most?

I hate people that are stupid arses and ask a question that was answered just two minutes before hand. this girl in my class was complaining about how the teacher didnt go over the words.. which he did and she didnt listen.. and sure enough two minutes later, this dumb bunny says the same thing. 'You never went over this with us. how do you expect us to take a test if we dont even know the material?!'

I also hate it when TV comercials show previews for a show.. making u want to watch the show.. and the show sucks and then at the END of the show.. they show u what was in the comercial.

And then people who talk shi.. crap about you and are like i can whoop yo butt. but once ur ready to they walk away. and still think they are cool.

I'm sick of 90% of the new games coming out being a load of shart. The last new game I bought was Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, before that Halo 2, before that....don't even remember. I'm still having fun with that one while simultaneously playing all my old games because I'd rather replay them then force myself through new ones.

I'm also sick of Gamespy and IGN writing crummy reviews that all sound the same. I only go to them now for media and anything that's not a game review.

I'm also sick of dull music in games. I'm disappointed with the new Oddoworld. The music is too generic, don't know if it was good in past games but it definitely isn't all that great in its latest iteration.

I'm also sick of stupid old crabby school librarians who waddle up to you as you're trying to get your programming homework done before next period because your programming teacher's a ballsack and they scrinch their face up and glare at you and say, "What are you doing? You shouldn't be doing things like that, get off right now.", the worst bit is is that they seem to not understand that you're doing homework and so then I start to open up yahoo to email myself the code I'm working on and she yells at me more.

The main thing that pisses me off is when people ( like my oh-so-stupid step-dad ) claim to know all that there is to know about computers, simply because, 35 years ago, he was a "programmer", when they were considered the smartest people in the IT world ever. And to make it even worse, he can't even touch type ( now, I know thats not a necessity, or anything, but this guy's ENTIRE BUSINESS is on the PC... )

I mean, he sells people computers, telling them all about it, how it's so great, and then when they ask a question like "What kind of Graphics card has it got?", he says "Oh, well, yeah. It's got a graphics card. It comes with the computer. See, some computers don't have them, but this one does"...

And, you know what? He gets asked to look at peoples computers cos they've got some sort of virus or something... So, his first, and only solution is "Oh, we have to wipe the harddrive!". When I hear him say that, and I suggest that maybe you just get the 200KB removal tool from Symantec, he's all like "Well, yeah, we could do that... But, we really should wipe the harddrive".
And, then, in cases when he DOES have to wipe the harddrive, say, for a fresh XP install, or something... Then, he doesn't even know how to do it!

( By the way, I want to swear very very loudly right now, but I wont, for the sake of everyone viewing this ... )

He gets me to do almost EVERYTHING that ever needs doing on a computer. Such as installing drivers, removing viruses, installing printers ( he can't even figure out how to put in a CD and select "INSTALL" ... How much easier can it get! )
And, the worst part is, he charges people to "fix" their computers, when *I* do ALL the work, and he doesn't even give me any money... most of the time, not even saying "Thank You"...
I want to hurt him so bad... shame that he's living with my mum, and it would break her heart...

Breath in... Breath out... Breath in...

So... yeah.

@Eric & Ben - No problem... but weird... both your posts start off identically.... hmmm.....

I can't stand when I buy something, like a cell phone, and they OVERcharge me for, say, an extra month. Then I phone in the first time, and the guy tells me it's all taken care of, and yadda yadda it's off my record. THEN I get another bill with the past amount on it, saying it's late! So I phone up again and I get this irritating woman who keeps saying "I'm confused" and "The previous guy didn't leave his name in the notes" and "He didn't take this off your bill", and I'm on the phone for OVER an hour, and she finally says she'll call me back.

This was one week ago. Still no call. What do they think, that I have all this time to call, sit on the waiting line for half an hour, just to get tossed around like a beachball!?

And get this, I just got a LATE notice bill in the mail from Roge---.. errr... my cell phone company, and they're demanding me to pay the bill, which I don't even owe them in the first place. This is getting too ridiculous!

Man, I know what you mean about those stupid Vote For Pedro shirts. I always wondered what would happen if I wore this to school:

It's not like Napolean Dynamite was that good of a movie, either.

I have a couple of complaints of my own:

1. There are too many forums. It takes so long to scroll down to General Talk!

2. There are too many States in the US. It takes so long to drive down to Texas!

3. My Black and Decker drill takes 4 AA batteries and cannot be recharged!

4. I need Pepto Bismol constantly!

5. I can't understand how a transistor works and I feel dumb!

6. I can't even begin to contemplate how a microchip works!

7. My keyboards "Backspace" button is the size of a normal button and it's hard to type there!

8. There are too many numbers!

9. At the end of Return of the Jedi, on the new DVD, they replace the old Darth Vader actor with the new one! I hate that guy because he's such a bad actor! BURN HIM.

10. I can't think of anything else to complain about!

Will someone please explain to me what's so funny about Napoleon Dynomite? EVERYONE told me to go see it and I felt like that nerdy waste of 35mm film stole an hour from my life (I feel asleep around then). So PLEASE, what makes it funny?

I haven't liked Doom since I had it for my SNES a thousand or so years ago. But what I *do* still like is the old Green Hornet TV show. Silent Bob (whatever his real name is) is making a modernized version of it. So why is that so wrong, you ask? Well, any of you who are familiar with the original 60's show will remember Kato, played by Bruce Lee... well... Silent Bob is turning Kato into a CHICK! If that sounds sexist, fine, I'm sexist. Kato CANNOT be played by a chick. Look at it this way: How would people feel if we made another Charlies Angels movie, only this time, the three angels were played by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Keanu "I know kung-fu" Reeves? Okay, there, I vented Someday I'll make a post that has something to do with something. Someday. Maybe.

I can't believe how angry some people are. I honestly have no real complaints about anything at all. Of course slow drivers and things are annoying but I just shrug it off, there's no point getting worked up over it.

The old people who drive slow? Ya I *try* to stare them down, but they're always looking dead ahead as if they can't even see the lines.. Which I'm sure they can't

I hate old people in general.

I hate haxxor movies that aren't realistic in the least..

I hate movies where people are using computers, but they're using macs..

I hate macs...

I hate the fact that gas is two dollars a gallon.

I hate that stupid ass guy that waits on me at the diner... god I hate that guy.. (he's the one you can see smackin around and goofin off in back while your drinks empty)

[edit] oh ya and I hate greenday, and u2, and pretty much any other popular musicians..

just a little note for George Lucas, hes the only real thing i'm irritated about right now. George, if you're reading this, please remaster the remastered version because the new version is cap, because in the original version

You've ruined his entire character now. Originally he was a bad ass who shot first and didn't even bother to ask questions, now hes a pussy who only shoots when shot at

P.S. I want that shirt

EDIT: I also hate:

Children between the ages of 10 and 14. Think they know everything, and make up almost all of it. In fact, I hate everyone who ever claims that they know something and make it up. Yes, i'm talking to you mister computer store guy, did you even do any kind of computing course?

Religious people who try to make me religious. I'm a rather tolerant person, but this just irritates the hell outta me

People who claim that they are better than me. It may be true, but you don't go telling everyone you arrogant f***

Slightly angry today, gotta go to work (I work at a supermarket), hope no one irritates me, or i'll smack em up, and then get fired, and then have no money again

Oh, i also hate the overpriced nature of porn

I was doing about 95mph down the motorway the other day (100mph is instant ban unless you are pissed up royalty basically) when I noticed a white volvo (police alert) catching me up pretty fast. So fast in fact that I could only get down to about 85mph by the time he caught me up. Stayed behind be at about 80mph for about 5 secs (which is about 10mph over the limit) before taking off at what must have been a good 120mph. No flashy lights or sirens either. Nice.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

It doesn't matter how many states there are..I'm pretty sure the size of the Country will remain the same...

I shall now add my own whines for your amusment:

1)I do not like how the Trix rabbit never gets his cereal. Butcher the children and get your cereal back silly rabbit.

2)I don't like the honesty on this forum...everytime someone on the WIP forums posts a screen with a box on a matrix or a small HUD made in MS Paint, people are like "Keep up the good work!" and "That looks cool!"

I'm not saying be ruthless, just be more damn honest.

Half Life 2 - I've finished with it but can't sell it because of steam registration.

Playstation 2 - I bought it when it was £299 and then a week later it was reduced by £100. Now it's less than £100.

Rereleasing old films as special edition DVDs at silly prices. Coming soon: Top Gun, Duel, etc. Why? Would be ok if they were a fiver but full price. Their taking the p*ss.

Flatmates who don't clean up after themselves after taking a huge dump. That REALLY annoys me.

Sash windows - I'd love to go back in time and shoot the inventor. They are so draughty it's unbelievable.

Foreign tourists - I live in London and tourists take pictures of EVERYTHING. Oooh look, a red telephone box, a squirrel, a fountain. What is the point?

Sainsburys - Our one now uses chip and pin for credit and debit cards but why is the person in front of me unaware of how it works and gets confused as to his pin number. Also why am I always behind the person with a dodgy credit card that gets refused or the woman that takes ages to pack one carrier bag.

Browsers - doing web design for a job can be really frustrating. Spend days getting a lovely looking site that works in IE, firefox, etc, but then looks horrid in opera. Why can't they just join forces and have one browser or at least render things the same.

Clients who blame us for everything - Get irate phonecalls from clients moaning they can't get their email and what are we going to do about it. Always ends up that they can't even connect to internet in first place and problem is with their ISP.

Printer ink prices - I dread running out of ink for my epson printer as it means spending another small fortune on ink. About time they reduced prices.

Sky movies - why can't I watch decent films during the day. Because of watershed requirements all the best movies have to be shown after 8 or 9pm. There are no little kiddies in my house to corrupt so I should be able to watch what I want, when I want.

Eastenders - I'm a bit of a fan but get contantly annoyed that newspapers spoil upcoming storylines. I'd love to be just watching and suddenly dirty den gets knocked off, but we all knew it was coming weeks before.

Crisps - why are some so sharp? It's like eating a bag full of razor blades sometimes.

That's about it.

Boo!

Hehe Spooky I agree with all of that - Except I can't sell HL2, I bought it and registered it, then it never worked.

Also printers, at work we're replacing about 30 mixed peskyjet's with half a dozen laser printers, and replacing our £500 a month ink bill with a £50 one. I feel that extra £450 should go onto my salary, but for some reason the personnel dept have vito'd that idea.

What's scary is you probably just created a coalition

Anyway...

Religion & Politics (and things that are upsetting about them):

A. If you're a Jehovah's Witness, you're in a cult. Jesus wasn't spiked, he was crucified, and crucifiction was a common punishment issued by the Romans LONG before the 1st testament, let alone the Jesus bit. Also, the whole blood transfusion thing? If you're willing to let your child die because some lunatic in the 1890's thought that blood transfusions are wrong then there's something wrong with your head. My gf explained to me that Jehovah's Witnesses think that after they die, there is no heaven and no hell. The "good" jehovah's witnesses, *ahem*, "go to sleep" and then someday they'll get to visit, *ahem* "paradise earth." The last time I heard something that screwy I saw on TV a room full of dead people wearing black Nike tennis shoes waiting for a comet to take them somewhere. If the Jehovah's Witnesses would just get Kool-aid we could certify them as nuts.

B. First and foremost, I'm very liberal and openly against the war in Iraq (or anywhere else Bush & Blaire send us in the next 4 years). I tend to argue with people from time to time about the Iraq mess, and after I disassemble their logic for going to fight there, they typically end with "Well, Muslims are crazies and they tend to cause a lot of wars." To all of you who've ever used that in a debate... you're an idiot. Historical fact proves that Christianity is the religion for which the most people have died and the most wars have been faught. Islam? 1/8th the amount of people have died in the name of Islam, and 1/10th the amount of wars have been faught for it, when compared to Christianity anyway. Take that moral majority!

C: President Shrub is good at two things: Getting us into wars, and rigging elections. And just because I dislike him doesn't mean I hate America. I love living in the States, and it's silly to tell me that I hate living here because of my opinion, since this country was founded on opinions! But Bush? I blame everything, from the tsunami to stubbing my toe, on him. For his second term he chose the "I'm the second coming of christ" motif, won over the moral majority and seized the day. And now what's he doing? Closing down Amtrak (for you brits who don't know, Amtrak is our public rail system), raising taxes, preparing to invade Syria and/ or Iran, cutting benefits for seniors, crippling the economy so the next president can clean up the ensuing mess... I could go on and on but this post is long enough as it is

D. The Simpsons, Trigger Happy TV, Distraction, The Soprano's, Deadwood, Real Time w/ Bill Maher, and Six Feet Under: Why are these the only good shows on television? And at least two of those are virtually unheard of! Why! If you don't know what Trigger Happy TV is, you need to watch comedy central more often! You don't know what you're missing! Giant man-sized squirrels attacking random people who use telephones and nuns who scream obscenities while golfing is FUNNY!

Okay, I'm done For now

That ticks me off too! Be more like the little lucky charms leprechaun and instead of concocting some vile scheme to bank your cereal get the kids to love you and share! And those little guys on Fraggle Rock! They spend all of their time building those little engineering marvels just so the stupid fraggles can come along and eat them! Someone needs to lead those little guys to victory... outfit them with tanks and bazookas or something.

I only have one complaint in life. And that's liberals.

First let me address the Jehovah's witnesses thing. I agree they have some weird views, but one thing I will admire about them is that, for the most part, they have a common sense take on the Bible. They take a step away from the twisted man-made ideals of modern Christianity and have created their own using the teachings of the Bible. A lot of their beliefs fall in line with own and I can't help but respect them because of that

B. Hippy.

C. If there's one thing I've learned about liberals in the past 4 years, it's that they're sore losers. Get over it, there was no rigging. People were voting against Bush and not FOR Kerry. You can't win an election that way. And how can you say something like "I blame everything, from the tsunami to stubbing my toe, on him" and expect people to listen to anything else you have to say about Bush? I know you meant it too, because it's true for most liberals. Blame Bush! Blame Bush! How about blame the idiots who make threats against a recently attacked nation? We go to war; BLAME BUSH! We don't go to war and we have another 9/11; BLAME BUSH! Either way he gets the guff, so why not take care of the problem before it happens? Sure, there's a good chance nothing would have happened, but what if something did happen? The public was made very aware of Saddam's threats, as opposed to 9/11 when we had no clue. Think about it.

D. Yes, Trigger Happy TV is the greatest show on television. I about peed my pants when the turtle was crossing the road, holding up traffic, then out of nowhere a rabbit sprints past him. It was... groin-grabbingly great.

What I can't get, is why when Bush makes those bullcrap speeches, people actually believe that he actually cares. . It really annoys me when I see him pretending as though he really cares and all that. Its just a damn act. *shakes fist*
