If you answered yes to the title of this topic, then come to the forum page at http://www.mworks4me.bravehost.com and click on the link in that page to join the forum. There is a section for DarkBASIC and Team Requests. You can also talk off the topic and talk about the latest video games. The forum will be moved to a more reliable host soon and will have a makeover without ads. I am working on it right now. Come and join the forum to make teams easier than ever!

Because team requests were more succesful when anyhting went?

Don't think so. If it wasn't for that strict approval system there would probably be no team requests board at all.

Heh, I'm still for banishing Team Requests, but then I remember the requests for teams would just spread out to other sections of the forums.

See what I mean, it needs to be more strict.

It does need to be more strict - I've deleted a fair few new requests myself over the last few days while RPGamer is away.

I have absolutely no problem with all of those team requests being made on someone elses forums though ... I've even fixed the link in the original post so that it's easy to follow.

Okay,

I can post moderate my team requests part in the forums, but check it out. Just join. The topics that are up (even through they are few) are very interesting. There is already a 3D Engine in C++ under development there. I would like to get some DB users on too. This way there is a smaller forum that would provide you with a better chance of getting an answer. I would like it to grow. I also have an Ads section and Contraversial Discussion. You can advertise your site. Please check it out. I guess that the post moderation is a good idea, so I will ad in that feature.

I just put the forum up. All I am trying to do is to get the forum going. A forum does not start out with 200 people. Look at the Star Wraith forum, it has less than 300, or was it less than 500?

team request forum is a joke, it's why you need to be vetted before a post appears on it. providing another forum will only just get the newcomers to post their ideas that they will never actually get going.

It would be nice to see newcomers ideas that will actually work. Also, I would like to have not really newcomers, but experienced people on it so it would be easier to create a good team.

this forum is fine if u use it with wisdom in mind

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself

It's not hard to get your team request approved.

-Show screenshots(of the game, or prior work)
-Give us a quick summary of your game(5-10 sentences works).
-Tell us what you realistically need(1-3 people)
-Give out contact information(e-mail, www, etc.) and link to more details.

If you can't provide those four things, then you're not even ready for a team request.

Some more tips:
-Be specific
-Use proper grammer
-Make sure you're dedicated
-Spend time thinking about how to structure your request
-Have a design document ready(if a larger team), showing what exactly someone is getting into.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Exactly. If you can't be bothered to make a proper team request worthy of the team request board, then you probably can't be bothered to make a game.

I updated my board so it is like this one here. This topic should not have continued. I now see that the idea was not one of my best. So lets leave it at that.

Oh boy, if only I read this thread earlier!

Quote: "I will get just as much as any other team member. say for instance we had 10 people. each person includeing me will get no more, no less than 10% of the profit."
He's asking for a lot considering the fact that he pretty much blatently announced he wasn't going to do anything.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I've gotten e-mails like that from people who heard through the grapevine that I was starting a company... ugh! Humans... can't live with 'em, taste like chicken.
