While flicking through this months copy of Gamestm (for anyone that doesn't know, a magazine that's realised you don't have to be spotty adolescent teenager to enjoy games) I found this funky little article.

Basically this bloke takes apart tv's, home consoles and joypads and sticks them all together to make a portable console. Check out the PS2.

Not only is it good for the environment (recyling) but I didn't fancy the idea of shelling out £200 for a PSP and now I don't have to.

I'm seriously considering that handheld N64, I can here Link calling for me now.

Lol, something tells me I'll be needing a lot of batteries.

Check out the website -> http://www.benheck.com

I heard about it in Retro Gamer before GTM mentioned it.

Love to have that N64 one, if only to be able to play GoldenEye 007 again.

Perhaps it can still be connected to the mains.

Lol, so it's decided then, Ninty should re-launce the N64 and forget about trying to impress people with high specs.

But when it gets to the UK most people expect it to hit the £200 mark, not much of a value pack after all. So much so that I've been thinking about investing in a GBA sp instead, plenty of games and small to boot.

I happen to have the "Nintendo-on-a-chip" he uses to make the NESp. All I need is the portable TV. Hmm, I wonder where I can get one of those...

I would love to get the portable 64, I got a nintendo 64 back when they were new, I got Zelda 64, the game everyone was talking about, and I loved it. I liked the indestructable cartridges of the 64, those were great, even if they couldn't hold as much stuff. Batteries are not a problem, just go to costco lol.

Am I an Idiot...or is everyone else just really smart?

Didn't Nintendo already do that with the Gamecube?

Yeah, and they also did something else good on the checklist, which is making great games.

Unfortunately, they didn't make enough of them.

Indeed they did, but it didn't do them to many favours whereas if they employed this uber cool bloke to make handheld N64's they'd be raking it in.

i wanna make one for my commodore 64. All i really need is a portable lcd tv to pull apart. I wanna make up a mini keyboard and include the ports and everything. I'm thinking like the size of one of those portable dvd players.

don't look at me like that!
