I have played almsot all of the blizzrd games. I played warcraft 2, warcraft 3, diablo, diablo 2 and starcraft. I ahve also played many free mmorpg and i think mmorpg are great games. The reason why i have never bought a mmorpg is i hate monthly fees. The game world of warcraft looks like a great game and i almost bought it but i dont know. $50 for a game and then you have to pay $15 a month to play is alot of money. I was looking at guild wars but I have heard that it isnt a real mmorpg. So if any of you have played World of Warcraft can you please tell me you opinion and if yu think its worth it to pay all that money a month to play a game. Also if anyone has played the guild war beta can you please tell me you opinions also. World of Warcraft looks like a great game but i hate monthly fees.

I would never pay for an online game, nor would I ever charge people to play, but that's something I already stated in other posts

Warcraft games are cool, but if you ask me whether or not you can put a price on cool, my answer will undoubtedly be "yes." I live in New York State, not far from NYC... if I told you what $15 a month could get you around here, well, my post (and all of my threads and my user account, too) would be deleted

most of these games come with 1month free trial. play it, then decide if it is worth the cash.

personally i prefer Guild Wars and FFXI

I thought that there was no free servers for world of warcraft. I know there is alot for ultima online and some other older games but i havent heard of any for world of warcraft.

I dont want to pay $50 on a game that i can only pay for 1 month and many of these require you to have a credit card to use the free trial. I know World of Warcraft lets you play with game cards, you can buy at a store but many make you have a credit card to use it.

I dont like monthly fees but i might pay it because this game looks so good but guild wars also looks promising without monthly fees.

Les Claypool is one of the greatest bassists of all time. By no means is that queer. One day Jimmy is going to say something on these forums that doesn't make me roll my eyes in his general direction. One day. Not today, but perhaps, if there's hope for mankind yet, one day.

I prefer playing on the Perenolde WoW server... It's full of Germans, so nobody can understand me anyway...

Currently I'm a lvl 17 Warrior, with a great quest to kill 6 elite ??lvl monsters..... And it's shown as a "green - easy" quest in my log... Greattttt

I don't know the server preston, how do ya find out?
The first time i player it like gave me a list of servers but the list was blank so just pressed oki. It like went through, never really asks for the server details.

Currently I'm a lvl 12 Red Mage, 4 Black Mage, 7 Thief. Currently playing as an RM. Getting frustrated with the fact that the first 2 times i tried to synth a Xiphos it made them (sold each for 2,900gil heh) but the last 6 attempts all failed. I don't mind so much as I've only lost 2 Great Fermurs, but they do cost alot as I can't find the creature that drops them.

I went to the store and i almost bought World Of Warcraft but they were out of the 60 day game cards and i dont have a credit card so i cant play. So, instead of buying World of Warcraft i preordered Guild Wars. Guild wars has no monthly fees.

In my opinion the answer is quiet simple : NO
Here's why :
- there are many other MMORPGs in beta test which are still free.
- You're posting on a programming forum, so you can even have free games here. And those are sometimes more original than anything you will find in the shops.

So, where would be the point to pay something, when we can have another good game for free ? (and sometimes the other games are even better)

- Mind the gap -

When you go to character selection, it'll tell you what world (server) your character is on. It's in the lower left hand corner.

And I swear I've seen someone with the character name Leyvin in Jueno.

Quote: "Currently I'm a lvl 12 Red Mage, 4 Black Mage, 7 Thief."

Currently a lvl 23 Monk / 10 Warrior, hanging around Bastok now because items are cheaper there than Jueno, and because it's closer to a place where I can level sub.
