IS it possible to make a game consol os with DB Pro if not what kinda language would i have ot use. Im not planin on doin it anytime soon i jsut want ot know

Do you mean a game engine? If so, yes. But depending on how complicated you want to get, it might be better to program in C++, or a combination DBPro using DLL's from C++.

no not a game engine. i knwo thats what dark basic is for , but what im asking is is it possible ot make an os with it like that of the xbox or ps2...maybe not that ocmplex

nope.. a game console is in effect an OS..

to create an OS you need asm and c/c++ or other similar language.. maybe c# etc..

DB is directX only, so you need directX to operate it, plus a slew of windows libraries.. basically unless you're running windows you can't use DB..

Also it takes years and years of work to finally have some GLIMMER of usefulness from an OS, unless you have a massive team of people trained in OS programming.. which simply you do not have access to..

the fact that your asking where to get the software means you wont be able to program an OS..

try searching for 8086 asm and dev c++ or pelles C or djgpp
