Hello again everyone,

With my new time I've turned my sights to my film-making hobby again. Some of you may remember I've shown some of my skateboarding films from http://www.ddrw.com here before. I've got the beginnings of my new project ready to show off, and I thought some of you may be interested.

URL: http://www.drewsgames.com/ddrw/paton.htm
WHAT: A completed scene from the film
FORMAT AND FILE: 3mb, WMV

The scene is from my current film project which will be like the classic ITV television series "Bernards Watch" in that a boy finds a magic watch that stops time to solve his problems. This scene will be preceded by one setting up that Mark Paton, the main character, has woken up late for an exam. He has not yet found "The Magic Watch", and this scene is showing how he suffers because he does not have enough time in his life.

Cool, I'm really into film making too. I'm going to be a film writer/director when I'm older.

You know about http://www.triggerstreet.com? It's a really good site for upcoming filmmakers. It's an online film festival started by Kevin Spacey. The top ten films get taken to tribecaa or sundance!

The time limit is ten minutes.

I'll watch the scene now.

That looked cool! Did you have to pay those people to act?

Remember that ourmedia.org lets you upload movies as large as you want for free, to host, and they offer unlimited bandwidth. Just in case you are limited on your own website.

Good luck with the film

@ David T

Yeah, he's not really a NED though. He looks like a bonehead, but he's really sound. He will most likely evolve into Mark Paton's bully.

@ Kenmo

No, none of the people in the new film are me, because I was filming. I am in all three of the skateboarding films though. Yeah, some songs were in pro videos. Hopefully only real skaters will notice that, such as yourself, and we can get away with it for the most part The victims were mostly P.J Ladds, Sorry and Unabomber: Head Cleaner...

Thanks for nice stuff said. I should be getting back into skating soon, I'll give you a heads up if I do any more skate vid's. (Planning to do some stuff over Easter actually)

Haha, that was V. Nice.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that the Teacher's actions were a little TOO dramatized, other than that, 'twas great
I loved the camera work! GJ.

Yeah, they were OTT, but I'm grateful she donated any of her time at all and I'm too nice a guy to ask her to do it again

Studio 9, Final Cut Pro, Ulead 6, Paint shop pro, MGI and Studio 7.

I do the rough in Studio 7, the colour balancing in Ulead, some FX in final cut pro, dubbing, titles and exporting in Studio 9.

Paint shop pro and MGI are for GFX - look at the shot where the paper is flying everywhere; the person who was holding the "blower" blowing the paper, beneath the table, was edited out. You can see it, because in this version, it's just a black patch where he was.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'll be filming the next scene tommorrow. The film should be done in June, I'll give everyone a head's up with a backdoor download
