I have an animated model. When I try to load it, the game freezes then it performs an illegal operation and shuts down. when I try to restart DBC, the computer freezes and I have to restart. why is this happening and how can it be fixed?

thanks in advance

Try doing this using sync off. If it works, the problems is with your code somehow. If it doesn't work, then it's the problem with your model or more likely your video card.

[edit] ok, look at next post, code is your problem.

Also, try putting the do command before play object. Hope this helps.

Try converting it to a different format - or through some program. As DBP is not welcoming of every .x model. I've had this problem before and resorted to export\importing the model through different packages(Milkshape\Blender\Wings3d).

Well, you could try converting to .dbo, the native format which should work 100% fine. If not, then it's a problem with the code.

Sorry, but that, I don't know. I still think .x should work well, I've never had a problem with it before. Did you try any games that DBC came with? You can look at those examples. You can also try posting your model to get feedback about if it worked or not, because it might be just your pc. I really can't recommend anything else.

upload the model so we can try it, could well be the model itself, have you tried to run it elsewhere? Could be the file itself is currupt or something
