well equipped with openoffice.org i am for once writing a nice and suffisticated public document on a product i am making and also making it for myself so i know what im doing
so i need to know how can i express the format of a binary file
and i mean like explain what each byte in it does and appropriate values
i just cant decide how to do it

look up "file format definitions" and then copy what the big boys do, basicaly a description followed by a byte by byte account of whats what and any special codes embedded, heres an example...

hmmi was wanting it to be in a already made doc but ill just give them a link to it instead and follow that way
