Hey,

As some of you will have gathered from my Knoppix post, i've been experimenting with Linux. I quite like it and I'm going to go for a perminant installation. I've decided to get Mandrake 10.1.

As it stands my old computer that I plan to install on has Windows 98 on it. I want to get rid of this completly. Now to install Mandrake do I just simply have to format my C:\ drive and pop in the installation disk *or* do I have to format the disk and then do anything to it afterwards?

Just change the boot settings in the bios so it boots from cd rom and put the cd in the drive and restart. The installation program will have tools to partition and format the drive.
