I was reading through the ref guide and could only see ways of adding (increasing the total variables that the array holds) blank values to an array, like "add to stack" or something, so i tried to have my own add to array function

dim test(array_size) as string

addtoarray("hello",1)
addtoarray("hello2",2)
endif
if spacekey()=1
for a = 1 to array_size
print test(a)
next a

function addtoarray(arrayname$,array_data$,index_num)
inc array_size
arrayname$(index_num)= array_data$
endfunction
as you may of guessed.....it doesnt work, if anyone could point me in the right direction it would help alot, thanks alot to anyone that has time to post in advance
