hi, tomorrow ill be buying a laptop and a cybershot, im not paying for those but yet i dotn want to spend to mcuh money on them, for the cybershot, i was thinking in maybe 200 dollars, 4.1/5.1 magapixels and a 256 mgb memory stick, what do u think ? is there a great difference from 4.1 to 5.1 megapixels ? is 256 to big ?

for the laptop, should i go on pentium m centrino ? maybe a 1.8 ghz ? cause they have greater battery "time", 8 hours right ? or should i go for a pentium 4 and something around 3ghz ? about ram i dont worry much, its expansive ip to 1025 so if it cames with 512 its enough i think. disk size i myght gona try get something bigger then 60 gb, but i think 60 is enough, 40 is to few.

now the main doubt, and i need your help on this, gfx, ati radeon mobile 128 9600,9700,or 9800 ? aint yet checked shader support for those, does anyone here owns one ? are they good ? can i paly doom 3 and half life 2 on oen of them (stupid question , i cant right ?)

you'd be more interested in the fsb of the two chips...

A higher fsb means better performance...

I would hazard a guess that the centrino is either lower fsb and/or lower l2 cache..

I guess it boils down to wihch is more important, great fps in games, or longer battery life..

If you carry around your power cable and can plug it in wherever you are.. battery life is a non-issue..

If you'll be in places where there's no power outlets for hours at a time, then you'll want longer battery life..

Also, you may be able to adjust the fsb/proc speed through third party software, so you can have two settings, plugged in, not plugged in.. and you'll know the battery will last a long time with the second config..
